On Partners and Inviting Partners:
Every Acre Counts Kentucky (EAC-KY) is an effort to formalize the extant community of practice that engages woodland owners in Kentucky. The organizations that have worked in the woodland owner space for decades have already accomplished much in the way of engaging, educating, and assisting woodland owners throughout the state. These organizations have also engaged with each other on many occasions, coordinating efforts and assisting each other through outreach and technical assistance opportunities. EAC-KY invites all partners that regularly conduct work reaching woodland owners and assisting with forest management practices.
Organization Interviews:
EAC-KY is driven by our partner’s input and experiences engaging woodland owners and conducting forest management practices in Kentucky. As part of our effort to meaningfully connect with and listen to the partners that are at the forefront of the engagement conversation, we held virtual interview sessions with several partner organizations. Each organization was asked about their goals, priorities, concerns, and potential opportunities when it comes to engaging with woodland owners in Kentucky and for Kentucky’s forests in general. These interviews have been distilled and organized below.
